I Love Halloween

Evening all

This is my mantle this evening.  I just love halloween.


We dont go trick or treating but did go to a party this afternoon in a pub where they had lots of creepy crawlies and gave out an endless supply of sweets.  My kids were majorly sugared up, but I resisted - Yay - go me!

B - stilton omelette with tiny bit tom sauce
L - leftover pork with cheese in mayo and salad
T - gammon with salad

Snacks - roasted pumpkin seeds

Drinks - 3 cups of tea, 1/2 of fosters and 2 pints water

Exercise - none

Joints - clicking but not hurting

Asthma - ok today

I dont have much salad left and cant buy any more as we are visiting my sister this weekend so might have to have tinned toms just so I get some veggie type thing.  But we will see :D

Bit of a High Carb Day

Evening all

I made sausage casserole for tea which had high carb veg in it.  Even though it wasnt high, high carb, it was still higher than I usually have.  Was nice though. :D

B - stilton omelette :D
L - leftover pork and cheese in mayo with lettuce and cucumber (tried to keep as low carb as possible due to tea.)
T - sausage casserole which had green beans, peas, pumpkin, carrot and onion in.  I also used a jarred sauce :o so it was pretty high carb.  Here is the piccy


And yes, that is 3 sausages!  Greedy I know.

Snacks - none

Drinks - 3 cups of tea and 2 pints water

Exercise - none

Joints - ok

Asthma - ok

Must remember to get the gammon out of freezer tonight.

3 Square Meals - Back to normal :D

Evening all

Had a really good day food wise today.  Feel a bit stuffed now, but could not stop eating crackling! :D

B - cheese omelette, very dissapointing after stilton so stilton now in fridge ready for tomorrow
L - avodaco, ham and cheese in mayo with salad.  It looked so nice I took a photo
T - Roast pork (with crackling - oh yes! :D), green beans, cabbage and carrots.  I am allowing myself carrots a few times a week.  But other than that still sticking with what I have been doing and see how that goes.

Snacks - none

Drinks - 3 cups of tea and 2 pints water

Exercise - does rushing around all day count? lol

Joints - aching, i need to cut out tomatoes again :(

Asthma - still not quite right after last night but no bad either - makes no sense i know

Feel so much better when I know I have eaten 3 meals a day, as yogurt for breakfast and nothing until tea really isnt enough, I know that, but still do it.  And I did enjoy my lunch today.

Tomorrow we are carving 3 pumpkins so I will have the seeds and flesh to make pumpkin soup out of and the seeds will need to dry over night and then be baked for 20 mins for a snack.  Maybe that will be good for when I dont have time to eat lunch.  Or I could crush them up and put them on my salads! :D   Must try different seasoned ones as well.  Might have to buy more pumpkins........

Back to usual.....

Evening all

Back to posting in the evening.  My mind must be working again :P

B - 3 rashers of bacon, 1 egg omelette with pickled onion cheese (not as nice as stilton), 1 fried egg, tinned toms
L - again, after all that not a chance
T - coleslaw and cheese again :D  This is because I forgot to get the meat out the freezer for roast again and as hubby and the kids went to football I couldnt be bothered.

Snacks - bites of cheese in afternoon (it had caramel in it, naughty, naughty, naughty)

Exercise -  none

joints - fine today

asthma - bad this afternoon, could be because of cold or that I was sorting through stuff so dusty.  Think I will increase my inhaler for a few days.

Half term tomorrow, I am really hoping that I get my 3 meals a day, I do like my food, and I have loads of lovely salad stuff to eat.  Will be doing the roast tomorrow, pork i think, as I do like crackling. :D

Can you have too much bacon????????

Morning all

I do believe I need to posts Fridays food.  So here it is

B - hm yogurt
L - by the time I got home from work and did some cleaning etc I missed it.  I need to make my lunch when I do the kids packed lunches in the morning.
T - omelette pizza

Drinks - a few cups of tea, water and wine
Joints - aching but it was very cold
Asthma - ok
Exercise - none, i really need to work on this.

And yesterday

B - 4 (yes 4) rashers of bacon, 1 fried egg, 1 egg stilton omelette (OMG it was gert lush), tinned toms
L - after all that breakfast, I dont think so lol
T - cheese and coleslaw (hubby had crackers with his)

Snacks - none

Drinks - a few cups of tea, pint water and more wine

Exercise - again, none

Joints - ok

Asthma - was playing up a bit yesterday but I think I forgot my purple inhaler in the morning

So, do you think 4 rashers of bacon was too much.  I have to admit, I do.  I did feel very piggy (lol - pig - bacon - piggy), but then again I had 3 rashers with todays breakfast so I dont learn.

I Love Lamb

Hiya all

I got lucky the other day, I managed to get 4 lamb chops reduced from £8 to £2 so as I forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer last night we had these instead.  Very nice!  Must do better at remembering stuff.  Wonder if its a side effect of low carb or just plain old, old age!

L - nothing, after work I went to lidl and got veg, bacon and 5 blocks of whoopsie stilton and a pumpkin :D
T - lamb chop, broccoli, cabbage and gravy

So, I bought a pumpkin today, apparently this is not enough, I need to have 2 MORE so all 3 kids can draw on them and I can cut out their drawing.  So as pumpkin seeds are low carb I was thinking of cleaning them, covering in seasoning and baking for a healthy snack.  Wonder if it will work ok.  Suppose I will find out soon :D

Memory Loss

Feel so tired today.  Payday tomorrow so I can go shopping although all 3 kids need new school shoes so may not be able to be quite as extravagent as I would like!

Need to Make More Interesting Food

Evening all

I am getting a bit bored with my food recently.  I get my first pay on Thursday, not much as only worked a few hours but will try to buy some different food and stock up on salad stuff.

Crackling....

Evening all

I managed perfect crackling today on our roast pork.  I poured on oil and then rubbed in salt and pepper.  Will be making it like that again (next week ;-) )

B - hm yogurt (although I did cook bacon for my son who is 8 but I didnt have any :o)
L - nothing, had breakfast too late by the time I cooked everyone elses
T - roast pork, broccoli, cauli, small carrot and gravy

Snacks - none

Exercise - none

Joints - not as clicky today

Athma - ok

Need to start doing more exercise.  I have wii fit plus, zumba and a dance game so I really do have no excuse.  Maybe tomorrow ;-)

I Resisted

Hello

I resisted the satsumas on Friday.  Yay!

I forgot to the get pork out of the freezer last night again.  Good job my oven has a defrost setting as we dont have a microwave any more. :D

Dont Want Choc but I do Want a Satsuma

Evening all

When I was little I remember my mum always bought a huge box of satsumas from local greengrocer at Christmas.  Well, I went shopping today and they had the little packs of satsumas so I got one for my kids as easy to peel in packed lunches.  Now I really want a satsuma!

B - hm yogurt
L - nothing, by the time i finished work, handed in timesheet and popped round to see a mate, I had to pop to shop and then pick up kids, then homework. 
T - omelette pizza with loads and loads and loads of toppings cos I was starvin' marvin.

Snacks - none so far....

Drinks - 2 cups of tea, cidre and 1 glass of wine

Exercise - brisk 30 min walk

joints - fingers clicking, and shoulders aching but it feels like the bones aching not the muscles if you know what i mean

asthma - ok

Do you know what, that wine and cidre has made me want choc......  uh oh!!!

Soft Play for Adults......

Evening all

My bad, I completely forgot yesterday, worked in morning and then with dd at dancing I was a tad tired!  So much so that I actually slept until my alarm went off this morning! :o

B - hm yogurt
L - ham and cheese (ran out of salad)
T - omelette pizza (again)

Snacks - none

Drinks - 3 cups of tea and 2 pints water

Exercise - well, we had a creshe in a soft play so for 2 hours I was in soft play with little kids so obviously I couldnt just let them go round themselves so I had to as well.  So I was in the ball pit (real ball pit, not just a layer of balls, you could burry yourself in this one, sadly that also meant I got stuck) and round the soft play, up the ladder, down the slide (fast slide) and then through the rollers that I to dive through and past the hanging things that the kids liked to push at me!  And do it again! lol  Excellent fun, and my legs are aching so if they every invent a soft play for adults as it is a lot more fun than the gym I will be there! :D

Joints and Asthma - both fine

And onto today.

T - roast chicken with bacon, cauli, broccoli and a tiny peice of carrot

Exercise - 30 mins of briskish walking

Joints and asthma - fine again today although my fingers are clicking alot which would be due to the cold or due to the tinned toms that I had on my omelette pizza yesterday and day before.  But no pain so its all good! :D

Pleased to say my jeans felt better today.  Still got belly hanging over the top though, but didnt feel tight. :D

Wants Tomatoes

Evening all

So, its been a while since I have had any raw tomatoes.  I love tomatoes and am missing them.  Considering my fingers dont ache like they used to I am wondering if I could introduce tomatoes back into my diet.  I am still having the occasional tinned toms (like today) but would like to add some to my salads again.  Might try next week.

Asthma - fine today and I have cut down my inhaler back to 1 puff in morning and evening and it hasnt had any negative effect on me. :D

Had to laugh earlier with the ref trying to kick the football on that pitch!  What a joke!  But I wont be able to watch the game tomorrow as I will be in a meeting :(

2 Days Worth

Joints - cant remember but couldnt be bad as I would have thought about it

And onto today.  I weighed in this morning and I am 10st 1lb.  :D  Getting there. :D

L - steaklette with cheese on top
T - shepherds pie without the leftover lamb and without the mash.  Might make cauli mash next time.

Exercise - 2 x 30 min walk

Asthma - ok

Whoo hoo, nearly at my goal.  Only another few lbs to go. :D  Then is the hard work of increasing carbs without effecting my asthma or putting weight back on.  But first, shift the few lbs.

Not eaten much today.  Am thinking it was due to the sheridons I drank last night.  Dont know the carb count and dont want to, none left anyway. lol

asthma - was  a bit bad earlier but hubby got loads of dusty stuff down so am blaming that

Not felt like eating today, didnt have hangover but did still feel bloated from the creamy part of the sheridons.  And forgot to defrost something earlier for tea so it was a case of just grabbing something.  Roast tomorrow as long as I remember to get it out of freezer tonight!  :D

Proud Mummy Moment

Evening all

I know this is carb based blog but my eldest son brought home a letter today from school saying he was on the gifted and talented register for reading (he was reading harry potter at 5! :o) and numeracy.  How proud am I!  :D  Now do I celebrate with a gert big bar of choccy or and even bigger bar of choccy.... joking!  honest! lol

asthma - fine although forgot to pick up my inhaler so may not be soon if my current one runs out

Friday again, still not sleeping properly.  We have our bed infront of the radiator so when I wake up and want to know if I will be getting up soon (so is it worth me trying to go back to sleep) rather than sit up and look at my alarm clock, I put my hand through the back of the bed and touch the radiator, if cold I can go back to sleep.  I seem to have done this a lot this week.

Went to the Butchers Today

Hiya

I have stocked up on meat!  Went to my butchers today and spent £56 on

Potatoes (cant stop hubby and the kids eating them, got at least a months worth)
36 eggs
2 x bacon shanks (doubled in price since i last went :o )
8 chorizio burers
4 spicy half pound burgers
8 usa burgers
3 minted lamb chops
back of bacon
3 x chickens
huge shoulder of pork cut into 3
leg of lamb
2 x gammon joints
14 normal sausages

This should keep me going for a month! lol  And then when taking something back to A$da I got 4 lamb chops reduced from £8 to £2!  Freezer jam packed with meat and still a bit of veg.  :D  Not got much money now so my meals wont have as much veg/salad as usual.  But will see how it goes.  I really need lidl to have mince on their half price weekend deals soon! lol

Shame On Me, I Forgot!

So am on so late as I forgot!  I blame it on being tired.  Walked on 3 school runs today as my eldest went to football and it really did tire me out.  I even napped whilst Simpsons was on.

Mmmmmm Roast Chicken

Hiya

I was lucky enough to get a tasty roast chicken whoopsied the other day.  And it was gert lush. 

B - nothing, got up a bit late so thought I would wait for lunch

T - tasty roast chicken and i had all the skin with broccoli, cauli and gravy

Asthma - been fine today

I ended up having Sheridons last night.  I do not like coffee, infact I dislike it so much if the spoon to stir my tea has been in a coffee mug I can taste it and cant drink the tea.  But I do like Tia Maria and since last night Sheridons, how odd is that!

Leftover Parmo for Breakfast :s

Evening all

I had the leftover parmo for breakfast today.  And it was actually nicer than last night :D

Snacks - roses choccy, every time I walk past the tin but am giving them to the kids as well so wont be eating them all, just most of them.

Drinks - 3 cups of tea, 1 (2) glass (es) of pink :o wine (well, it was reduced to £2.50 so rude not to)

Exercise - again none

Asthma - forgot to take my inhaler this morning and by mid afternoon started feeling wheezy but that was my own stupid fault

Choccy, Choccy and More Choccy

Evening

So, its my 12 year wedding anniversary.  Wow, 12 years!  I had work this morning (I love my new job), then visited my friend and then went shopping for wine for tonight.  Whilst in a particular supermarket I spotted Gentleman Jack that hubby has spoken about on several occasions on offer so got it for him.  Well, I have worked 2 mornings this week that were unplanned so will have extra money and hubby is a very happy man. (so hopefully less moaning for a few days at least lol).  Hubby gave me the tin of roses, and yes I have eaten far too many.  And yes I am drinking wine and yes we had takeaway.

B - homemade choccy yogurt (not the best but quick and easy and dd wanted me to make it)
L - nothing, didnt get time
T - parmo (could have been worse, could have had pizza, infact wish I had as that is the worst parmo I have ever had - not really had that many, only moved 'up north' 5 years ago but still not the best!)

Snacks - roses (the choccy not the flowers lol) and 2 haribo sweets that Wanda brought round for the kids

Drinks - 3 cups of tea, 2 pear cidre's and a glass of wine

Exercise - not today

Joints - thumb aching a bit today

Asthma - fine

Not been a bad day, dd and ds1 make us anniversary cards when they got home from school.  Ds2 was too busy playing cars with Wanda the Wicked Witch Sock Monkey but at least he was entertained! :D

It May Have Taken 12 Years......

Hiya

Anyone that tells you, you cant change a man is wrong!  Tomorrow will be our 12 year aniversary and as we dont have much money I told him not to buy me anything.  Well, for the first time EVER he has got it early and its in the boot of his car (I checked, how embarassed am I).  But, Yay, I changed him! :s 

B - nothing, didnt have time
L - cheese salad
T - mince and veg

Snacks - none

Drinks - 3 cups of tea, 1 pint water

Exercise - none (but I may have free use of a gym now so maybe soon........)

Asthma - ok

So, tomorrow is likely to be a rather wine & choccy evening.  I doubt very much I will be weighing tomorrow morning!  Which I dont mind as I still remember the days of weighing every time I went to the loo.  So its nice that I am not weighing all the time.    Although maybe nice to weigh so see how much damage I have done so I get back on track properly.  Must weigh Monday.  Naught tomorrow, good rest of weekend and weigh in Monday - Plan A!

Mmmmmm Camembert

I popped to Lidl earlier and got whoopsie Camembert.  So do I cook it and dip celery/cucumber in it or should I just eat it!  My cutting down on cheese was going so well up to now as well.....

Real Chip Shop Chips - Naughty but Nice

Evening all

Another naughty day but it was for real chip shop chips and I cant even remember the last time I had any so a definate treat.  And now I have a glass of red.  In my defence I have just been offered a job.  My first interview for 8 years and I got it, I am so pleased so am having a little treat.  And yes, I know the treat should be none food but wine is none food! lol

T - gammon (i did start out planning to be good) and real chips with scrumps (should have seen the look on their face when I asked for scumps as they are apparently called scraps round here)

Asthma - bit funny just before interview but I think that was nerves and chest feels a bit tight now

Too Scared to Weigh!

Good Evening

As the title says, I didnt have a weigh in today as I know it will be back from the weekend.  So have tried to drink more water and cut down on the cheese.
